The Importance of a Great Close

Here at Puzzles Bakery & Café, every detail matters. We take great pride in the cleanliness of our store, the quality of our food, and the satisfaction of our customers. We must work together as a team and follow closing procedures carefully in order to prevent against the deterioration of our facilities and equipment. As always, speed and accuracy are key. Please complete the closing tasks to the very best of your ability!

FRONT OF HOUSE
COFFEE AIRPOTS *
Start breaking down coffee toward the end of the night. Any remaining coffee can be offered to employees (and customers, if it seems appropriate) before being dumped.
BAKERY CASE *
After completing the bakery count, be sure to throw away anything that will not be sellable tomorrow and carefully store anything that will be sellable tomorrow.
GRAB & GO COOLER *
The beverage cooler should be stocked to full capacity every night before leaving.
BATHROOMS *
Clean bathrooms thoroughly each night before locking up.
COFFEE STATION *
CLOSE TO PUBLIC *
EMPTY GARBAGE BAGS *
Bring out ALL garbages and replace with new (securely tied) bags. There should be absolutely no garbage left in trash cans overnight!
CASH DRAWERS *
This must be completed by someone who has been trained and given permission to close out drawers.
DINING AREA *
This must be completed every night.

Take a walk through the café and make sure everything is done correctly. No crumbs, no dirty dishes, no unfinished tasks.

By initialing this checklist, you take full responsibility for today's close. Each box has been checked to signify that each task has been completed. You are confident that everything has been done to the very best of the team's ability.
